Retired Judge Yacov Wagner began his legal career more than 40 years ago. He served in the IDF’s Advocate General’s Unit and after completing his military legal career, opened a law firm that remained active for some 15 years until his appointment as a judge.
In his position as a lawyer, he has handled various issues in civil law, torts, contractual law, company law, family law, bankruptcy and liquidation, execution law, and criminal law. He also served as a Disciplinary Tribunal member and Deputy President of the Haifa and North District Bar Association Tribunal.
Yacov began his path on the Bench a as a judge in the Haifa District, where he served as a judge in Haifa and Hadera courts, and later as vice president at the Haifa Magistrate’s Court. In addition, Yacov Wagner served as a military prosecutor and defense advocate as part of his military reserve service in the IDF’s Advocate General unit, as well as the Presiding Judge in the IDF’s Northern Command. With his cumulative and diverse law experience, he provides mediation and arbitration services in alternative court proceedings, and acts as a replacement mediator by agreement.
